To: Providers and companies who call EMCS B2B services on Danish B2B Gateway.
The TLS-certificate for the EMCS B2B Web Services in the production environment on b2b.skat.dk will be renewed on January 6th, 2025, at 10:00 am.
If you have a supplier to make these changes, the Danish Tax Agency recommends that you forward information.
For client with trust on the TLS server certificate directly:
Please install renewed certificate in the trustsstore of the connected clients to avoid errors and downtime. Link to certificate: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/skat/emcs-b2b-ws/refs/heads/master/crt/b2b-skat-dk-2024-12-02.pem
Avoid hassle when certificate expires by establishing trust
The Danish Tax Agency recommend providers and companies to establish trust on the Intermediate CA and Root CA for full certificate chain validation.
The advantage is that your certificates are automatically renewed, so you do not have to worry about certificate expiration and thus possible downtime in your EMCS B2B solution.
If you do not establish trust, you must make sure that your certificate is renewed with each update in the future by keeping an eye on the EMCS Github page. In the future, it is expected that certificates will be renewed more often than before for security reasons.
For client with trust on the Intermediate CA and Root CA that issued the TLS server certificate:
No changes required.
Note: This is the TLS server certificate for encrypting the connection to SKAT (The Danish Tax Agency). Endpoints to EMCS B2B services remain unchanged. The OCES3-certificate used to encrypt the message sent does not change.
