In order to ensure an unambiguous treatment of gross mass (heading 35) for the import declarations in Import-Classic, a change was introduced on 24/4 2024 to clarify the fields "kilo and gram" when uploading files to the Import system.

After the change, the content of the gram field is always treated as number of grams. If 7 is entered then it will be perceived as 7 grams, if 35 is entered it will be perceived as 35 grams and if 455 is entered it will be perceived as 455 grams.

Previously, before the change, the value 7 was perceived as 700 grams and 35 became 350 grams. After the change, 700 grams must be stated as 700 and 350 grams must be stated as 350.

The change only applies to file loading, there is no change to the entry in the Item Post screen.

Technically, the change concerns the D01 record's field 'Brutto_vgt_g' in the Inhouse files.
