If you need to buy number plates, re-register (change owner or user) or deregister a vehicle with number plates, you must visit a number plate operator (a vehicle inspection centre or a dealer).

Vehicle inspection centres normally have all types of number plates in stock. Dealers only have number plates for the types of vehicles they sell.
